2008 Senior Olympics

July 26, 2008 in Sheridan, Wyoming at the Sheridan Sportsman's Association.  This will be held in conjunction with their registered shoot.   (Non registered shooters will not be shooting on traps hosting registered events.)   Wyoming Senior Olympics is open to all persons 50 years and older.

Events are:  Singles, 50 targets; Handicap, 50 targets; Doubles, 25 pair; and Skeet Shooting (50 targets in each of the 4 guages (12, 20, 28 & 4-10)).

Cost is $10.00 per Event.  All people interested in the shooting competition MUST register at least one day in advance.

Medals will be awarded for both In State and Out of State Shooters in the following age groups:  50-54; 55-59; 60-64; and up in five year increments.

Congratulations to all the Shooters on the 2007 Wyoming State Trapshooting Team.

Qualifications for the 2008 Wyoming State Team are:  Beginning with the 2007 Wyoming State Team the qualifications will be: Men’s team will be the top 6 men with required targets (2000 singles, 1500 handicap, and 1500 doubles).  The Ladies’ team will be the top 3 Ladies with required targets (1500 singles, 1000 handicap, and 1000 doubles). The Veteran’s team will be the top 3 Vets with required targets (1500 singles, 1000 handicap, and 1000 doubles). The Senior Veteran’s team will be the top 3 Sr. Vets with required targets (1500 singles, 1000 handicap, and 1000 doubles). The Junior team will be the top 3 Junior Shooters with required targets (1000 singles, 700 handicap, and 700 doubles). The Sub Junior team will be the top 3 Sub Junior Shooters with required targets (1000 singles, 700 handicap, and 700 doubles). They must also be a current member of the W.S.T.A.; Shoot at least one of each discipline during the Wyoming State Shoot (events governed by the W.S.T.A.); Each member must have shot 300 singles, 300 handicap and 300 doubles in the state of Wyoming in addition to the Wyoming State Shoot.
