BY-LAWS

of

THE WYOMING STATE TRAPSHOOTING ASSOCIATION

ARTICLE I

Purpose

Section I: The purpose of this Association is to promote and govern the sport of amateur trapshooting throughout the State of Wyoming.

ARTICLE II

Corporate Powers

Section I: The corporate powers of this Association shall be vested in the Board of Directors.

Section II: There shall be no corporate stock.

ARTICLE III

Offices

Section I: The principal office of this Association shall be in a City and County in the State of Wyoming as shall be designated by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

Section II: The resident agent in charge of said principal office shall be designated by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

Section III: The Board of Directors may change the principal office of this Association from time to time to any other City and County in the State of Wyoming and may change the agent in charge at any time by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

ARTICLE IV

Affiliation

Section I: This Association shall be affiliated with the Amateur Trapshooting Association of American, Vandalia, Ohio, that will hereafter be referred to as the ATA.

Section II: This Association hereby adopts and incorporates as a part of these by-laws for the purpose of the regulation of all trap-shoots conducted hereby in the State of Wyoming, the rules and regulations of the ATA as they may now exist or hereafter be amended.

ARTICLE V

Membership

Section I: Membership may be secured in this Association for a period of one year by any legal resident of the State of Wyoming provided such applicant shall be a current member of the ATA and further that said applicant shall have paid a membership fee in the amount designated by a majority vote of the members at its Annual Meeting.

Section II: No membership in this Association shall be denied, restricted, or otherwise limited because of the race, color, religion, sex or national origin of the applicant.

Section III: It being the primary purpose of this Association to promote the sport of trapshooting, the Board of Directors is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to revoke the membership herein of any member when said member or proposed member does, is doing, has done or threatens to do anything detrimental to the sport of trapshooting with intent to do so, or whose actions are offensive to a substantial portion of the membership at large.

ARTICLE VI

Annual Meeting

Section I: Once each year at a place selected by a majority vote of the members at its previous Annual Meeting in the State of Wyoming, there shall be an Annual Meeting of the members of this Association for the purpose of transacting the business of this Association and for the purpose of electing a Board of Directors for the ensuing year.

Section II: Once each year at the place selected for the Annual Meeting of the membership in the State of Wyoming, there shall be an annual tournament to determine the various championships, hereafter called the State Shoot.

Section III: The Board of Directors shall accept from all Trapshooting Clubs in good standing with the Wyoming State Trapshooting Association and the Amateur Trapshooting Association of America who wish to apply a request to hold the Annual Wyoming State Trapshoot. Said club applying will then be put on a rotational basis provided that in the opinion of the Board of Directors of the Wyoming State Trapshooting Association each club has sufficient physical facilities and personnel to hold the State Trapshoot, or will in sufficient time have this facilities to host the Annual Wyoming State Trapshoot. Each request to be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors of The Wyoming State Trapshooting Association. Once a trap club has hosted the annual Wyoming State Trapshoot it will then return to the end of the rotation line if a written request is again submitted to The Board of Directors of The Wyoming State Trapshooting Association.

The rotation of the Wyoming State Trapshoot to be determined by the WSTA delegates from the trapshooting clubs applying for the Wyoming State Trapshoot. If no compromise is reached between said clubs for the rotation, the rotation will be determined by a random means acceptable to all of the delegates applying for the State Shoot. If any club wishes to withdraw from the line of rotation the following clubs next in rotation will move up one year. Once rotation is established any new tranpshooting club applying will be placed at the end of the rotation sequence. The rotation to be started for the 1990 Annual Wyoming State Trapshoot. Section IV: No legal resident of the State of Wyoming shall be allowed to vote at the Annual Meeting of this Association nor shall they be allowed to shoot in competition at the State Shoot unless they have been accepted for membership in this Association and shall have met the requirements thereof.

Section V: Each shooter, resident and non-resident, attending any ATA registered shoot in the State of Wyoming shall be assessed a daily fee, said daily fee amount is to be set by a majority vote of the members of the Association at its Annual Meeting but in no event shall it be less than One Dollar ($1.00). It shall be the duty of the Treasurer, or other officers of the Club holding the shoot, to collect and remit such fees to the Treasurer of this Association along with an accounting as to the number of shooters paying such daily fee.

Section VI: The daily fee as provided shall create a fund, from which this Association through its Board of Directors, shall provide appropriate funds for State Association functions. These functions shall include but are not limited to the general administration of WSTA activities and the Wyoming State Shoot.

Section VII: The Gun Club designated to hold the State Shoot shall submit for approval its full program to a Committee of three people appointed by the President of this Association. The Program Committee may approve or modify, 120 days prior to the State Shoot, the program governing the Annual State Shoot. The State Shoot will be held in accordance with the then current rules of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. (as amended /4/97)

Section II: These By-Laws are hereby adopted with the express understanding that the Association is formed with a not for profit status, and that, should future unforeseen circumstances bring about the dissolution of the Association, the assets, after debt, would be donated to a not for profit organization that subscribes to the same basic ideals that brought about the formation of the Wyoming State Trapshooting Association.

Section III: These By-Laws are adopted by the general membership at this Membership Meeting held on this 3rd day of July, 1981 at Laramie, Wyoming. Amendments are as noted
